A year ago, I would’ve been exploring the lovely state of Iowa. This year, I kept it close to home. Matt was home for the weekend and we needed to take the dogs out for a run/walk. He wanted to take me to a little river he walked a few times with the dogs before.We didn’t know how long the weather was going to stay nice, so we tried to get there early. We got there around 11am and it was absolutely gorgeous outside. I had layered up because I thought it would be cold. Wrong. I ended up walking in my tank top and got a nice little burn. We walked about 2 miles and decided it was time to head back. It was just the perfect little 2 hour getaway for the long weekend.
