…your baby is getting bigger and growing up way too darn fast. It’s not even fair. You try to remember what they were like 6 months ago and you can’t. You barely even know what you did last week.
Nothing too exciting happened this past month from 6-7 months. Bailee has been mostly a unicorn, but has her occasional dragon moments. We’ve kind of just spent the days going through the motions. We didn’t go anywhere special or even do anything special. Occasionally we’ll play in the pool to cool off on these hot Texas summer days.
Sleep: She is finally able to self-settle/soothe and for the most part sleeping for all her naps. She’s been sleeping through the night until about 4:30a. But she’s developed a habit wake after getting her two bottom teeth in between 2-3:30a for the past couple of weeks. I’ve been able to get her back down, but will only sleep until 5:30 at the latest.
Feeding: Breastfeeding on demand still, but am only feeding her 3-4 times a day. We started dinner this month and this kid loves her food. It’s like she’s never full. She loves everything I’ve been giving her. But if I had to choose something she loves more than anything else, it’s her Puffs. She’s also now drinking out of a sippy cup with a straw and she’s pretty good at it.
Growth: I tried to measure her length the other day, but the closest I could get was 25″. Hopefully that’s a little off. I’m pretty sure she’s finally reached 15lbs, but if anything, I’m wrong like last time. She’s still able to fit 3-6 month clothing and even those are big on her.
Strength: Getting super strong in her arms. She’s graduated from rolling to army crawling and pulling herself up (semi-assisted) on the couch, me, push walker, pillows. She’s able to sit on her own most of the time, but is still a little wobbly.
Interests: She is obsessed with the Nella the Princess Knight theme song, tags and rubber duckies. She basically just wants to put anything in her mouth since she’s gotten these two teeth in. She enjoys going for stroller rides and petting her puppies. She loves splashing in the pool and tub, as well as swinging in the baby swing in the tree.
I’m not ready to watch my girl get bigger and start crawling, but I’ll welcome it with open arms and a happy heart. Going to make these moments count.
