Sadie Turns One! – 10.10.15 – Reno, NV

I had the utmost pleasure of getting to take photos of a friend’s little girl turning one. Sadie, beyond adorable! She is the happiest child I have ever seen and loved every minute of the picture taking! I think my favorite part of the whole session is that all she wanted to do was play in the dirt with the sticks and leaves. Girl after my own heart!

Spring is Here for Taytum – 3.22.15 – Reno, NV

Spring has started to bloom and little Miss Taytum was due for some new photos (you can see my previous sessions with her here, here and here). Easter was right around the corner and Sarra had asked me to do a combo of spring and Easter photos. So I wracked my brain and came up with staging ideas and photo props to give her the best little photo session possible.

Poor Taytum always knows that when she sees me that it’s time to take pictures and there is always a camera in my hand. So she goes from joyous on the car ride over and not so cheerful when it’s time to snap away. That is until you get her half naked and let her run around, as well as picking up and chewing stuff. This little one is a doll and I can’t wait to see her again!

Sautto Family – 10.19.14 – Rancho San Rafael, Reno, NV

Family photos are slightly intimidating. You have to know how to pose all the members of the family. You have to remember their names so you’re not saying, “Hey you, move to the left.” You have to keep the attention of them all focused at your camera. It’s definitely a lot to handle when you’re only used to photographing your best friend, her husband and their one baby.

But when you hear the number three as in three kids, you kind of start to go into freak out mode. I searched the internet high and low (okay, mainly Pinterest, but no one needs to know that) for poses that incorporated three children. I saved a bunch of photos and studied them, preparing myself for the day of my photo session. My boyfriend kept asking me if I was nervous as the session got closer, of course I told him I was okay. But I was really just worried that things wouldn’t go as smoothly as I had planned. 

Karlowicz Family – 9.21.14 – Galena Creek, Reno, NV

Oh, this family I absolutely adore. Cutest family ever! And I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them and little miss Taytum a number of times. It’s been a blast every time, even those days when Taytum was being a diva. Haha

This family session happened one year and one day after the first session I ever did with them. It was great to see how the family has grown, along with my photography skills.

Krieger Wedding – 10.4.14 – Las Vegas, NV

Weddings, oh weddings. I love them, yet I hate them. Do I know why? Nope. It’s just the way I am. However, one thing does ring true…

I’m your Sensitive Sally, your Emotional Emily, your Crying Christine. I’m a blubbering fool at any wedding I attend. And this wedding was no different. I about lost it when the bride came down the aisle and the groom’s eyes started to tear up. Rough stuff, I tell ya.
