Into The Woods – 10.25.14 – Susanville, CA

I’ve fully come to the conclusion that I’m a sucker for photographing inanimate objects. There is something so intriguing about where I find these items and how they got there. Plus, they don’t move, so it’s kind of hard to screw up a photo and blame it on the object (although we all have done it because we’re pros and nothing is our fault). 

This past Saturday I had to go to Susanville to pick up a friend’s ATV to borrow for my bull elk hunt. He recently moved into a house off the mountain and he hasn’t done anything to the home or the 3/4 acres it sits on. So with just a little bit of walking around, I started snapping photos of little things that intrigued me.

From statues to wood piles, I’ll take a picture of anything. Herein, lies the proof…
